Next Showcase
The next Xpress Records showcase will take place at one of Bristol's most celebrated live venues: The Fleece & Firkin on 22nd March 2007. It will feature the acclaimed singer-songwriter Mark Ely, Lenny Savage and The Doohickies and Bristol's favourite chanteuse, Jocasta. Video highlights from the last showcase will be available on the web site soon

Joining Hazel to celebrate the release of her debut EP, Butterfly, produced by Tim Allen (Aesoteric), are the relentlessly inventive avant-rock five-piece Brenda, and hip shakingly soulful trip-hop/breakbeat merchants, The Formula. Doors open 8PM, Hazel onstage 8.45.

One of Jocasta's most popular songs, 'Girls Are Evil' is to released on 07.11.07
Jocasta will be releasing her first single 'Girls Are Evil' on 07.11.07. The song has already been requested as a pre release by a number of radio stations. As well as the title track, another of her popular live songs, 'Escape' will be included, together with a video directed by Alex Richardson.
The video was filmed over 5 days and nights mostly in the city of Bristol. "It was hard work but a lot of fun" said Jocasta. The video includes nite club scenes as well as night time footage filmed in Bristol.
